TRACK IR Unplugged
80% of the time I load into a mission the game is now telling me track IR is unplugged even though nothing has happened. I then have to restart the entire application both Track IR and DCS to get it to function again. Anyone had a similar issue or know of a fix?

Only very rarely for me, nothing like as much as you say. That's really annoying though. Have you tried checking DCS for file errors and reinstalling track ir?

It looks like a bad intermittent connection.
I loose camera reception from time to time, but badly set emitter device is mostly the cause for it.

Mine goes off occasionally especially if I pause and go AFK. usually it's a simple case of getting the LEDs back into the camera then refreshing controls in DCS. I did have problems years ago that came from windows putting my trackIR camera to sleep so I turned off the power management for USB ports and boom, no more problem

Try using it without a USB Hub.
Alternatively check if your Hub has a power supply. May solve most issues with TrackIR.

This sounds like exactly what is happening to mine. Ill get setup and start to load a mission or a training, wife or kids will need something and I walk away for ten minutes then its unplugged. I'll check this out.

Thanks bunch

Interesting, thanks for the update. So basically youre saying if im the middle of playing and it starts telling me its unplugged and not working, disconnect a different USB device and reconnect and trakir will work?

Thanks!

This is a result of DCS constantly re-scanning for any changes to your currently connected USB devices. To fix this, disable Hot Plugging from your settings. You may still manually re-scan for newly plugged in devices (ie if you forgot to start TrackIR before booting up DCS) by clicking the Rescan button in the control bindings menu. This fix will prevent any more "TrackIR plugged/un-plugged" from occuring in the future, or axis controls suddenly spiking to min/max value.
