I'm running 32gb and I don't have the slightest issue

I run it OK with 32 gig, 16 was not enough at all.

I wanted to go 64 but was talked out of it. Where did you see the increase?

I'd say you need 32GB or RAM for DCS regardless of whether you're using VR or not...

I just recently went from 32 gigs to 64 gigs. Didn't notice a difference.

System specs?

I have 64 GB of RAM. When I review Task Manager, I have seen as high as 30GB of memory usage.

Guess I need to buy more RAM. Im running 32MB, but if the game can use up to 30MB, then 64MB is the way to go.

32gb RAM is fine for VR

Agreed. 32gb regardless is the way to go.

I also used to have 64gb at one point but there is zero performance difference between 64 and 32 gb in DCS.

I can't say I've ever played DCS with less than 64GBs, but I did the upgrade a long time ago for entirely unrelated reasons. (And those unrelated reasons are now making me wonder if my motherboard can handle 128GB.)

Video editing / 3d rendering by any chance? Those were my reasons for going 64gb.

I rarely do any of that any more however and overclocking is less stable with that much ram so I took it out as I benefit more from the overclock than the large amount of ram.

I only have a mere 16 gig and and an RTX 2070 Super. With a tiny bit of tweaking here and there, I can get DCS to run brilliantly in VR on the Oculus Quest 2. Just putting that out there.
