RTX 3060 Ti 8GB VRAM vs RTX 3060 12GB VRAM

I know the DCS can use lots of RAM. How it is i case of VRAM. Is better for this game more powerful RTX 3060 Ti 8GB or less powerful but more VRAM RTX 3060 12GB?

I have a 3070 (8 GB of VRAM) and do just fine at 1440p.

No difference. The 12GB on the 3060 has a lower bandwidth or something which means it only looks better on paper and for people who only look at the box instead of benchmarks. It doesn't perform better than the 3060 Ti in any game that I know or

Will you be playing in VR ?
In VR DCS uses up most of my RTX 2080 Super's dedicated VRAM.
(On settings I feel looks acceptable on my VIVE Cosmos)

How you know how much Vram is used? I don't see this informations in geforce experience. What program do you use to monitoring how much Vram is used?

At the beginning 2020 i made i bad decision when i build my new PC and don't buy RTX 2000 series GPU. I put in the new PC my old 1060 6gb and i decide to wait to 3000 series. But pandemic and chip crisis comed and GPU was not at stock. The old GTX 1060 begin struggle more and more and one day died complete. Only way how to get a new GPU was buy complete prebuild PC. So i did buy Ryzen 5 5600x with RTX 3060 12GB in 2021. So i haw one preaty solid PC Ryzen 5 3600 withou GPU. Now the GPU prices are best at the 2 years history and probably because of War in Europe it will be best for next several years. So i order RTX 3060 ti 8GB. I will do some benchmark when it comes.

Damn my 3080 only has 10gb of VRAM, damn I guess I better swap it for a 3060. - Marketing gimmick.

So i did bad decision again. The GPU prices still fall down, so I probably had to wait. Never mind. In any case, the difference in performance of ASUS TUF-RTX3060-O12G-GAMING 12GB / 192-bit GDDR6 and MSI VGA NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti VENTUS 2X 8G OCV1 LHR is noticeable. Current the price difference between this kards is 150 Eur. (ASUS 550 Euro vs MSI 700Euro). Not sure if the performance boost is worth the money.
