Snap Views discussion: once more
I have done some research about the contents of my post, mostly in the ED forums.
When I use a snap view, I am unable to stick the view, so I can use the mouse to do some functions on it.
I need to have the keys combination pressed to look at it.
A few threads, deal with the problem with what it seems, there isn´t any solution to stick them.
I was wondering if anyone of you (specially the experienced ones) have found some sort of trick to leave the snap view stuck.

Hi, I don't know if you got an answer to your problem but I had the same issue and finally found an answer thanks to the solution by the Wrecking Crew:

"Try this - it's an old trick - delete your Keyboard.diff..lua file. Look here -
C:\Users\<user name>\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input\A-10C\keyboard
That will reset your keyboard bindings and a new file will appear when you go into DCS and then exit.

^^^ The same can be done for the joystick files.

WC"

Works for me hopefully it works for you!

You may wish to look at external, keyboard scripting tools. An example for Windows is "AutoHotkey". You can then create a script that takes one of your button presses and uses it to "toggle" a keybind for the ingame snap view. So the first time you press the hotkey, the script says, "press and hold this key," and then the second time you press the hotkey, the script goes, "since we are already holding this key down, release the key instead."

To make this easier, I might rebind the ingame snap views to joystick button inputs, so that accidentally pressing the hotkey without the game in focus doesn't do anything weird.

Though for what I actually do for my own purposes, I simply have a second keypad bound to 20 different "joystick" buttons on the left side of my control set up. I can then manipulate the snap views with my left hand only, while manipulating the mouse with my right. But that was a $100 piece of hardware (I just happened to have it around from playing other games).
