This is a great question, because if you are going to fly rota then ground scenery is going to important. But if fast jet then you can get rid of most of that.
1, View distance big FPS change
2, Sea quality take it down to what you can bare.
3, Shadows ( kick them in the nut's till they are flat) :)
4, pre-load radius try changing that from one end of the slider to the other.
Hope this helps.
As I understand it, since the release of version 2.7, DCS is now able to recognise and make use of as many cores as a CPU has available, hence the more cores your CPU has the better performance in DCS now?
I think it's the Georgia map (I don't own any paid content currently). I'm more interested in low and slow, so helicopters and ground attack aircraft are my preference.
I'm playing single player.
I'll try some of the options and see how it goes.
Do you run it at 4K?
With the high preset I get about 100 FPS, when I capped the game at 64fps (I did that via a cfg file, I assume that's how it's done), the issue got worse.
I turned trackir off as well, but no change.
The frame rate tool shows Video mem: of 0.00mb. Is this how much is available?
Just to set my expectations, does anyone else get this "stuttering" effect every couple of seconds. Just want to make sure the game doesn't work like this all the time.

It was turned on. I turned it off, but sadly no change. Thanks for the suggestion
There's no way you're running that setup in 4K...
