Missioneditor - Carrier
Can you configure a automated catapult shot in the Mission Editor?
So if you Spawn after X Time passed the catapult will automaticly shoot you from the Carrier?

I don't think you can do that. It might be possible but I have not heard of such a thing.
I'm not even asking why anyone would want that. But no, you as the player have to signal the launch yourself.

or are you thinking of some kind of idle-player kick mechanic?

Nah its just for my mission, i want to sync the shoot with the music because i wanna recreate the battlefield 3 starter mission :D
First of all, I don´t have Supercarrier so far and don´t have any type of carrier airplane except the Su-33
This week I set the Stennis for a full display of aircraft operations in Hormuz straits and I was amazed of what it can be done.

To place aircraft in the catapults, just set them as take off in the runway.
To place aircraft ready to enter the catapults, just set them as take off hot in the ramp.
To place aircraft in the ramp anywhere else, set the aircraft as cold in the ramp. This will be the way to fill the full deck.
If the aircraft don´t have a mission, they will take off fly around for a while and then will be recovered in a very orderly way.
I even watched one of the F18 taken down the elevators to the second deck.
The problem with these three versions of take-off is that all airplanes take off and are recovered, unless they have a mission with waypoints.
I have not found yet how to create statics in a carrier or make them stand still (I don´t know if it´s possible by setting fuel to zero).

Set the plane as AI then set it to uncontrolled. This will put a parked aircraft on a parking spot and it will remain static

Cant you just screen record the gameplay then add music over it and match it up with the launch?

There is an icon of the "Bridge" on the left menu of mission editor. It is used for adding a static object. Choose a country of the object to be added, choose an object (plane / helicopter/ anything else), put it on a crarrier's deck and set on the right menu, "attach static object to a unit", choose the unit (your carrier) from dropdown list. This is all, the unit will stand still on the carrier's deck and move with the carrier, because it attached to it. You can set static units on any parking lot, but you have to set the angle of the unit manually on the right menu.
As usual, Sizigmund is right for adding statics to the carrier.

And also as usual, fikmeinshizer is right in adding an Uncontrolled airplane to a carrier. The benefit to fikmeinshizer's method is that if you want to have the plane on the carrier at the start of the mission and keep it parked until a certain trigger causes it to take off (like the player taking off), that's the way to do it. The downside is Uncontrolled AI planes are a bigger hit to framerates than statics.

For the OP, I remembered seeing this post[forums.eagle.ru] for adding a video before the mission starts. You could create your intro manually by you saluting at the correct time, and turn it into a track that the user can't interrupt. The start of the mission is a pre-recorded launch sync'd up with the music that gives control to the user when the plane is airborne and stable at 500 feet.

I have never tried to insert a video before a mission, but I've seen another thread[forums.eagle.ru] saying it works. Of course, the original post is from 2012, and the post saying it works is from 2014, so who knows if it's still a viable feature.

I guess the airplane has to be set as cold in the ramp, so the engines will be shut down.

I have used the bridge icon or "O" to place statics in airports and orient them.
However, a static needs to be placed in a spot, but I haven´t been able to precisely do it over a carrier, because the "carrier object" in the map is just an "icon".
I will try that, using the menu you mention. But I believe it won´t be possible to place it in a precise place.
I suppose this method would work to also place objects, like pulling trucks, power units, people, etc...

You mention something in your description that make me think.
To place a fleet of destroyers and cruisers around the carriers, I have just placed the ships with their own paths and waypoints. But I wonder if I can "associate" the escort ships with the carrier so they follow a parallel course.

.....

Quite interesting if I want to make some planes take off later in the game.
Why would uncontrolled planes pull more framerates than statics?

I have not reached this part yet. It will be in the future when I fly from a carrier.
But this looks promising.
You would just have to use an AI aircraft instead of player controlled. An AI aircraft can be launched at a specific time from the catapult.

Love recreation movies made with DCS! :-)

Love this Top Gun Intro redone with DCS World. Very cool!

This is probably your best bet. Click on the unit and there's a little clock. It's set to relative of time past since mission start. So if you set the mission to begin at 0800 and you want them to take off 5 minutes later you set to "take off from runway," Check "Fix time" box and set to 08 05 00. If the songs crescendo (gradually louder) starts 2 minutes and 23 seconds in, then set to 08 02 23. Theoretically, they'll launch right at that time

(I only recently got into mission making in DCS so i'm probably wrong somewhere)
Excellent video.
But that is with Supercarrier.

Not sure if it was already said but if you check around the bottom of the editor screen, I think there's a button that will toggle between the object's icon and it's model. Super handy for filling your carrier deck.
