Oculus Rift VR: How do you zoom in to cockpit / scenery, how do you reset view?

If I press the button on one of the Touch controllers, I zoom in and can see cockpit clearly.

I have tried setting this up in the control menu cockpit view zoom in / out and even the other zooms but it doesn't work. I am using a T Flight HOTAS X and Saitek Pro Rudders, which otherwise seem to work well together.

Any idea as to what am I doing wrong?

Also, is there a mapping I can use to reset view or will I need to keep the Touch controller handy?

You need to select UI layer in the customize control options screen, this is the same menu screen that you would use to select aircraft key binding. The vr zoom and reset view options are there. They will supersede any key bindings.
