F18 external lights switch wont work with joysitck

So I have the external lights master switch on the F18 mapped to a two way switch on my X55.
It worked perfectly up until this recent patch and now nothing. In the controls screen its highlighted in orange and there are multiple fields for the same command. The ones mappable to the keyboard work just fine but its greyed out to map to my joystick.

Bug maybe??

I've noticed the same issue with the P51 open/close canopy, 2 entries for both, all 4 highlighted in orange and they won't work with my joystick (Warthog), seems to work with keyboard only.

You most probably just need to reconfig your modifier buttons in the controls tab.

Yeah I've tried that, didn't change. Also cleared all the bindings, reset to default, didn't change. The odd thing is the orange highlighted double entries are in the "category" column, which as far as I can see you can't edit?

I dont have any modifiers set up. I believe the orange colour indicates that two separate inputs share the same description. I dug around in the .lua files and found that the keyboard and joystick files use the same "hotas_commands.THROTTLE_EXTERIOR_LIGTHS" syntax, but the game seems to read them as two different inputs.
This seems odd as there are many other commands that don't seem to operate this way. Cruising through my controls tab there are many more controls highlighted in orange than I remember and they all seem to operate the same way. IE they cannot be bound to a joystick.
Seems like it might be a bug.
