I have a 2080 but an i7-4770. Game runs fine 80-90% of the time. Depending on what I'm flying I maintain 40+ fps and that's in a multiplayer server with 40 people.

Single player is 100% with the only exception being a map with a lot going on.

Loading times are atrocious for me. desktop to mission can take up to 10 mins. I'm assuming you should be fine considering you have ddr4 ram as I gave 32gb of ddr3.

Just my run of the game and I hope that helps

Damn, i ran battlefield 2042 at like 70 to 80 fps on high settings, on a rtx 2070, but on this game you have a better gpu and your getting like 40 fps holy crap.

I have an i7-9700 with 32GB DDR4 RAM, but I have only a GTX 1600 6GB and for me it runs nicely. But you need to define your monitor resolution. In my case 1920 x 1080.

I have a 2070 super with a Ryzen 7 3900x 32gb RAM running at 1080p with most things on high except terrain shadows and forest viewing distance, runs at 60fps most times unless there is a lot of smoke on screen.

detailed forest with shadows murder the fps.

mine is 1920 x 1080

Be assured you will do great!

1440p, 2070 Super, runs 60fps without issue. Only exceptions are heavy smoke

Have you reduced your preload distance by chance? I dialed mine back to 30000 and it worked wonders on loading time.

i7-9700, RTX 2070 Super, 32gb Ram, NVME. I get 100-120 fps on High in simple missions. 70-90 in heavy missions, and 60-75 in multiplayer on good servers.

I used to have ATROCIOUS loading times... like go prepare coffee kind of time, when I was using an early gen SSD. That SSD seemed pretty fast, but then --- new mobo and an M2 SSD drive. The difference in loading times is ridiculous, it's gotta be 10x faster. I was impressed by the speed increase from HDD to SSD, but damn that increase from the old SSD to new M2 SSD format is equally astonishing to me. (edit clarification - NVME M2 SSD)

RTX 2070 and Intel Core i7-10750H here on a MSI laptop with 16GB that I use more like a desktop connected to big screen TV via HDMI in living room and it runs great with Vsync on at 1920x1080 at 60fps while flying and even with enemy and friendly AI aircraft flying around in close proximity.

Get about 30fps or so on the Super Carrier flight deck with all the AI crewmen around. But it's a smooth 30fps (no lag at all) and very playable still. It's because I have Vsync on so it locks it at 30fps when I'm on the flight deck of the Super Carrier.

With Vsync off I get upper 40s/low 50s on Super Carrier flight deck but screen tearing happens with Vsync off so that's why I have it enabled.

But yeah, you shouldn't have any issues with an RTX 2070 GPU and that CPU. My CPU goes up to about 5Ghz but I have it capped at 2.6Ghz by turning off Turbo boost in the BIOS to keep my laptop temps cool.

i9-10900KF / RTX 3070 / 32 GB DDR4 RAM @ 3200 / SSD / 1440p @ 75Hz

DCS runs butter smooth in MP with a ton of scripts. I use TrackIR playing nearly maxed out however I will note that SSAA will really hammer performance and for that reason I keep it off.
