F18 profile - how to setup

Hey guys, bought the TM Warthog/MFG Crosswind Rudder for a month now. STILL DAMN Struggling with the profile of the F18.
its frustrating to be struggling with mouse click that dont work on cockpit, mouse scroll wheel cant pan. TM Stick and throttle does not show up on the OPTIONS/Controls of the F18 Profile inside the DCS game. man, i have to get into this, and its driving me nuts. Can someone help?
The only thing that works is keyboard, and TM Joysstick direction/missile button that i can see - i think that's the bare basic the game can configure without any special task)
i tried, https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/ and its various files. there are just so many on this site, i may not have done correctly.
i tried going Steam /right click dcs/ properties/local files/verify integrity of game files.
as for github, i got even more lost....

Inside DCS F18 nothing works, not the mouse, (but yes keyboard does work, but wait i got an expensive stick /rudder/throttle, yet using keyboard??)

I am unclear as to what the issue is here. Are you saying that DCS isn't detecting your HOTAS at all? That the devices are not showing up along the top of the control binding screen?
