I don't have VR, or a head tracker
Also I don't mean weapons lock, I mean just some kind of heading indicator.
If you get the F-14, Jester will give callouts on the bandit location that isn't particularly accurate, but he tries. :)
He said twice that he didn't have VR........
He's backpeddling to cover that he didn't read the what was written (twice). This is exemplified by the fact that he is confusing me with StarTrekMike (again) by calling me Mike.
I would bind "padlock target" and "reset view" (or other such name, not sure what it is) to an easy to reach button on your joystick. Maybe use a modifier so you don't upset your controls, but essentially something you can access quickly to padlock and unpadlock.
I used to play a lot of rise of flight without Trackir and that's how I managed it but I imagine DCS would be significantly harder with how much you have to look around to spot missiles, targets etc.
You've probably heard this a million times before, but if there's any chance you can afford trackIR, get it. It will improve your enjoyment of this game so much, a bit like going from trying to play with keyboard to playing with HOTAS.
