F18c afterburner help needed.
Hey. I havent played DCS for about a month and since ive came back the afterburner dosent engage on the F18 and my throttle quadrant seems sluggish (as if it only engages at certain points etc). I have a X52 hotas and its working as normal on every other module I own, (JF-17 / Viggen etc) the problem only involves the F18, I dont know if it is something ive changed in the settings without realizing it but its got me stumped. Anyone got any ideas, would be greatly appreciated if you have.

I know in the f-16 options you can make it so that you need to push a button for afterburner to be enganged, like a safety. Try to look in dcs f-18 options.

Check the axis settings for the throttle.

I have, it seems to be fine, I just cant figure it out. Theres times where it wont go beyond 50 % (even though its at 100% on my throttle) and times it will go to about 86%. Its almost like its on an auto throttle and i dont control it, beyond forward and back. I just dont understand why only this plane.

afterburner has always just been an indent that you just push into, had a lookand cant find anything mate.

Can be found in the settings at the "special" tab. Select the F-18 and there you can set the afterburner detent "on/off". Off means you would not need to press the detent to go into AB.

At controls tab under "throttle" you can assign a key/button for "afterburner detent on/off"

Make sure you don't have conflicting keybinds.

You might have some other axis bound to throttle, that's causing it to reset.
