Honestly the 1050 isnt a great card either, are you 100% sure it isnt using that?

Go to NVIDIA's control panel -> 3D configuration -> Program settings. Select DCS in the drop down scroll (browse the .exe if you do not have it listed) and then manually select the card you want to use.

My machine is in Spanish so I can't tell you exactly the texts you will see, but you should find it easily

hi, you can aslo try in Bios .

if i am not wrong you should be able to activate/deactivate onboard graphic card or chose priority order.
Best way to tell what card you are running : task manager/performance/GPU.
i recommend doing a clean instal of drivers .
Use DDU in Safe mode to avoid conflict.

GTX1050ti is great for what it is, and what it dose. i run the game at mid settings, high cockpit texture and 60fps, unless theres over 30+ aircraft in my veiw
