Yeah, true. But some air bases in Saudi Arabia are crucial, imo.
Qatar 2nd then Kuwait not really important.
I don't care too much about detailed cities and all that.
Just wanted some air bases to take off to, from, and attack ands defnd. Air bases add directly to gameplay possibiities while landmarks and cities are just cosmetics, imo.

to complement the spectacular water, please consider a 5-10km strip of 3D elevation data for the land along the west PG coast, currently map-flat.
a bit of dunes etc, whatever the real terrain does for a few km from the coast. then fade THAT down to flat to westward. could do same for Caucasus, really. allow your customers to take coastal paths that aren't majestic to starboard and "god took the afternoon off" to port. no airports, TACAN or other detail seem necessary to me.
just elevate the beach to 3D.
