Note that you must own the TWCS throttle to take full advantage of these mappings, also, you'll need to copy-paste the contents of each lua file into your own lua files, since your device(s) will have different IDs.
oh ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, thank you. where can i find the lua copies i would need to replace? so far the ones i've downloaded i've just installed inside dcs thru the controls section.
and yeah i guess i should have been more clear, i have the HOTAS, just no rudders so it seems like your profiles will be perfect for me.
You can do it yourself, though, just need to replace my device IDs with yours.
For instance, here are my IDs (simply replace them with yours):
T16000 -> {FDCAFDB0-7068-11ea-8003-444553540000}
TWCS -> {FDCAD6A0-7068-11ea-8002-444553540000}
Btw, these IDs are generated by DCS when you make modifications to the controls.
You'll find the lua files (with the IDs) in:
C:\Users\YourUserName\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\Input\YourAircraft\joystick
Another thing to keep in mind is that all my mappings use two extra modifiers.
TWCS button 4 (up) and 5 (down), as shown in the following diagram: http://ts.thrustmaster.com/download/pictures/pcmac/TWCS/TWCS_PC_Mapping.png
You'll need to tell DCS these two buttons should be used as modifiers, this can be easily done in the controls menu.
Just click on the "Modifiers" button at the bottom, then "Add", then select TWCS as device and press these buttons to introduce them, one at a time.
Thanks to these two modifiers, you'll be able to control virtually everything with HOTAS (full radar controls + chaff / flares + ECM + tpod/Shkval + relevant MFD buttons, etc)
Inside TARGET you can assign function to one button/axis on your HOTAS.
Trust me, you need and want this.

I've only ever needed it for Elite:Dangerous, just because the game didn't accept modifiers (now it does, so I no longer need TARGET).
DCS accepts modifiers, so I honestly see no reason to use TARGET.
What do you use it for? (I'm honestly curious)
TARGET is perfect for DCS.
You can even multibind keys or set up sequences.
For example I have one button for the Harrier on the stick where I sequence:
- water take-off
- water disable
- water landing
- water disable
- water take-off
- etc etc
I just have to press one button again and again.
You can't do that without TARGET.
TARGET is awesome.
thanks for the file path info! i'm excited to give these a shot, having that extra modifier must open a lot as far as key binds go, the ones i've found so far have just had one and it's already a lot to take in.
yeah i downloaded TARGET as soon as i got the stick, i haven't looked too much into it but it sounds convenient. when i opened it up i wasn't really sure what i was looking at and haven't touched it since but i guess i should look up a tutorial.
also while i'm here: anyone got a t16000m profile for falcon bms 4.34? i posted on the falcon 4.0 page but havent gotten any replies, and so far the only profile i could find was for 4.33. i couldn't get that profile to work, not sure if it's because it's incompatible or if i'm stupid. anyways let me know if you guys got anything.
TARGET Software reads from stick and throttle and creates a thrid virtual device.
When using TARGET, you do not longer use the native T16000 stick or native T16000 throttle devices inside DCS!! Just leave them empty and use Thrustmaster Virtual Device. Another thing that is important is that you launch any TARGET profile (run profile) BEFORE you launch DCS or DCS might not detect the Thrustmaster Virtual Device after you launched DCS.
---------------------
In TARGET you can assign up to 32 "virtual buttons" to any button on your HOTAS than can be used in DCS.
--> This way you can set a function in DCS to this created virtual button. The virtual buttons are visible as JOY1 to JOY32 under Thrustmaster Virtual Device.
Furthermore you can assign any key combination or key combination sequence to any button.
--> This way you don't need to set this button in DCS because DCS will just detect the key combination from the simulated keyboard. So for example you could bind "3x (LCTRL + E)" to button_2 and when you press button_2 on your stick, your pilot will immediately eject.
---------------------
TARGET software is very powerful.
A bit complicated when you start with it though...
What program do we use to open the lua files to do this copying & pasting you mention?
Notepad works fine. I prefer Notepad++ because it formats the lua files and makes it easier to read.
It is not so hard, just run training mission , pause it , set up buttons , continue to another commands and so on.
I use Notepad++, but keep in mind that the bindings in the link I provided are over a year old now (pre 2.7).
I had to modify some of those bindings due to 2.7 changes, I'll try to update them.
EDIT: Ok, I've updated the bindings for some of the aircraft.

Btw, you don't have to open the lua files, just replacing the device IDs in the name of the files should be enough.
Also, like I said in an earlier post, all my mappings use two extra modifiers.
