need to know the plane in question to answer fully

check that you have disengaged nose wheel steering if possible to limit your turning while trying to hold straight. once you get fast enough the rudder will become more effective at holding you straight. also, and this isn't an insult, check you have both engines running if applicable. seen loads of people start one but not the other in their rush to get airborne

if it's the Falcon then banking is needed along with rudder as the wind makes the plane roll (can't remember if you bank toward or away from the wind). this may or may not help on other aircraft

A couple of things first when the game starts up the screen that says hit the Pause Button then to the right it says Fly in a green box don't hit Fly or you won't have any control over the aircraft, hit the Pause button. On the Su-33 and 27 lalt&Q unlock the steering to check the Z&X are left/right rudder and steering. When your rolling down the runway you have to tap Z and X as your rolling to keep straight. When launching off the Carrier make sure you lock the steering. And on the F-15 to turn harder you have to use S along with Z and X turn turn sharper when taxiing, hold the S and tap either Z/left or X/right.

Hmmm... I didn't knew about the "S" button for F-15C. Thanks! It is worth to read discussions on steam sometimes. :steamhappy:

By the way, on F-14B you have to press "N" button to enable wheel steering.

You can set curves and dead zones for this axile and all other axiles. So the controls will be much smoothier then they are in default. For me the curves setted to 25 working well, except of a slider for A-10A. As for me, the slider for A-10A don't need any curves at all, because it's engines power control are very smooth. But for F-15C I set it to 25 and only then I succed to do an aerial refueling.

You can set curves and dead zones for each airplane individually. So in controls options look at dropdown list on the top left side. Choose F-15C and then in the dropdown list just right of it, choose axiles. Then you can click on each axile, for example "joy_x" and click on "axile settings" or something like this. You will see a window with axile graph. Then just look at the red point reaction when you move your joystick and set dead zones if needed and curves for smooth controls.

Try the S button in Su-27 while flying ;)
The need for G's

I got a flight stick with a twist which has a massive dead zone which is annoying. Pedals would be ideal but they are a one trick pony at that.
