F/A-18c Litening pod / TPOD more broken than before.
On Openbeta version, watching on right DDI or AMPCD, the Tpod does not track relative to aircraft attitude as before. i have to reset it by fast switching FLIR to stdby and back to on.

The VVSL option which used to be on the middle of the right OBS buttons to slave the Tpod to the Velocity Vector for easy initial target designation - is no longer available.

Cage button stows it but does not unstow it again i have to reset it by fast switching FLIR to stdby and back to on.

Left DDI just get all bright screen much too bright at night unusable on left.

Yeah they changed something with the TPOD.
It wont slew back to neutral when you undesignate now.

It's quite cool for some ohter things though.
Now when you do TOO JDAM strikes it wont slew away after you undesignate after the last TOO target.

So it has pros and cons.
I like it better than before.

This is now the same in the stable version they've just pushed.

Was trying to learn how to use it with LGBs last night after the update and the new mode is frustrating.

The loss of the VVSL is bad enough given they still haven't implemented a HUD cue but the constant re-stowing and deactivating of the laser when you cage it is a complete pain.

Edit - just to clarify, VVSL is initially available when you first spin the TPOD up but as soon as you start using it the option is no longer there and there doesn't seem to be a way of bringing it back.

Edit 2 - Figured out how to get the VVSL option back. You need to hit the "Undesignate/Nose Wheel Steer Switch" key (S by default) and that makes the option available .

What appears to be happening is that when you first hit the designate key, without the ATRK or PTRK OPR set, it places a way point marker, visible in the HUD. The VVSL option is made unavailable in this mode. Undesignating makes it available again and removes the way point.

Selecting ATRK or PTRK, but not designating, fixes on a spot with no HUD marker displayed. In this mode VVSL is still available and slews you back to the VV.

Great thanks!
I could not get the VVSL mode back using the Undesignate/NWS again no matter how many times I pressed the Nose Wheel Steering switch or even when selecting ATRK / PTRK.
(selecting ATRK/PTRK seems not working in the AMPCD, sensor select down does nothing).

Then I found that with the JDAM's in PP mode, i get the VVSL.
When switching to TOO mode the VVSL option disappears. Very strange.

Also the AMPCD does not switch between ATRK / PTRK when selecting Sensor Select Down.
I only am able to switch between ATRK / PTRK when using the right DDI and selecting Sensor Select Right.

The functionality of the TPOD seema to change depending on what weapons you have selected and their mode (PP/TOO).

I did notice with the GBU38's i have the option on the TPOD (right DDI) to change from Zoom to Level to Gain and back to Zoom where you can manipulate the quality of the TPOD image.

This is correct, you also need to be in certain weapons modes or it is not available.
