You say "the game won't play"... you need to be A LOT more specific than that. Nobody here can read minds.
If you want people to put effort into answers, put some effort into the question.
ok then what would you say would be a good flight sim game for a beginner
for windows 10
Intermediate: War Thunder or IL-2 (Can't think of any modern era flight sims on this level)
Advanced: Xplane, DCS or Prepare3D (Lockheed Martin's Simulator)
If your computer is a potato, good luck running DCS
If your computer is >2-4 years old, should be good to go
If your computer was built yesterday, why are you having problems?
Some other things you might want:
- Joystick (Logitech 3d Extreme Pro is excellent entry-level joystick)
- Headset (Because some flight sim communities are full of ree when you aren't practicing proper ATC process)
- Enthusiasm and Patience. Should you decide to say "♥♥♥♥ all this i wanna get DCS working", as previously mentioned, DCS is incredibly complex, even the so called "easy planes" have a learning curve. As a casually avid flight simmer, i find myself wanting to go buy/play Xplane or FSX just so i can taxi, take off, fly across the country to the next state over and land without having to go through the rigamaroll of cold starts and complex flight models
Whichever path you get into, It can ultimately lead to an investment. Be it War Thunders Premium subscriptions, $80 Addons or fleshed out rigs (HOTAS, TrackIR or VR, USAF Flight Suit bought from eBay, converted Flight Helmet for PC use etc).
If you're certain on getting into flight sims: start with Flight Simulator X - Play the tutorials and scenarios. Lowered realism at first then up it until you're comfortable flying in various situations, for example bad weather, which is really your only threat in FSX. Learn on the small planes then work your way up to jumbo jets. Once you feel comfortable flying in general, THEN you can start looking at more advanced simulators.
Quick Story to end this: When i first started flight simming, I played MSFS98 and a handful of Novalogic games. Once i could play FSX on a playable system (The hype for FSX in 06 was that of FS2020 in terms of graphics and tech), i took a look at DCS when the only paid aircraft available was the KA-50. I was discouraged (as an entry level flight simmer) at the lack of available aircraft and found the level of simulation too intimidating and backed away, then again in 2010 when they dropped the A10c.
Anyway, hope this input helps
free and will give you the basics, plus it looks good.
