How to fire in TWS with Jester
Hello,
Everytime i try to lock someone on multiplayer, i can only lock with STT mode . Do you know a shortcut or any Jester command to make him lock in TWS please ? ( I think that he is always in TWS but I just can get a TWS lock ) .

There is one thing you should keep in the back of your mind before going further. TWS launches are only really useful with the AIM-54 and thus are not going to typically be practical at close range. Jester has a hard time (like a RIO would) with radar locking when close-in on the target so if you are going to start lobbing AIM-54's, you need to make sure you are far enough away (100 nautical miles is not a bad start) to give Jester time to see the targets and give the WCS time to prioritize them.

Now for details.

By default, Jester will automatically be in TWS mode. If you switch your lower display to the TID (so you can see what Jester is looking at on his TID), you will notice that Jester will IFF bogeys and the WCS will automatically set a number next to each of them. This is the order in which the AIM-54's will go after them. You don't need to do anything but make sure Jester has his radar range out far enough to see the target. You don't need to tell Jester to do this or to lock anything up.

Once you see that all the contacts have a number next to them, you need only wait until you are at a good range to launch AIM-54's and let them all go one after another. Again, don't tell Jester to lock ANYTHING. You need only release missiles one after another (for how ever many targets you have) and they will automatically go after their pre-planned targets.

Range is a important factor here. The F-14 won't really tell you when you are at a perfect release range so you need to think about the target you are shooting at and their aspect. If you are shooting at a fighter sized aircraft, you will want to launch when you are closer so it has less room to evade. Likewise, if you are shooting at that same fighter but he is heading away from you, you will need to launch closer so the missile has a chance to catch up.

Again. You don't need to tell Jester to go into TWS and you don't need to tell him to lock anything. If the radar sees a group of targets, he will set everything up and you just need to fire when you are inside a good kill range.

Okay thank you very much for the help, i have a last question, there is two numbers on my TID against a bandit ( there is a screenshot from the riot position, but i have the same on my TID https://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2019/14/4/1554412007-dcs.png ) , I assume that the number on the right ( 1, 2, 3, 4 ) are the priority order ? But i don't know what is the number "2" on the left, and sometimes i don't have the priority order , does that mean that i cannot fire in TWS ? Again thank you very much for the information and sorry if my english is bad, it's not my native language .

The other number is altitude in angels I think

No priority means no TWS solution so no you cannot fire a TWS attack.

The number to the left is contact altitude to the closest 10000ft. So if it is a 2 then the contact is between 15000 and 24999 ft
