I would assume so if that ship is emitting a radar frequency the HARM can pick up.

Yes, you can target and fire on the ship if it emits just like on to any active radar.

ha good luck, they start shooting at me from about 80nm away, the max range of the HARM is about 40nm

More than 40nm, I think the longest kill I have made with the HARM was at a P-15 radar and I launched it at around 53nm, don't remember the altitude but it was above 20k. What vessel is shooting you and what altitude are you launching the HARM from?

i dont exactly remember the vessel but from at least 50,000ft high

Please make a video of this because I don't believe that if you're having a laugh at 50k feet and launching a HARM it will only go 40nm.

Indeed. I got 30nm range from 20k at just over mach 1

Well the range of harm is 80NM in optimal conditiona just fly low and fast then last minute (or when in range) climb fire and go back down evading missile i have done it a lot of times now just stay low and you wont have a problem
