You are absolutely correct... Practice practice practice.... Thats all I do with the Hog and Eagle on my end... Some days are better than others for sure...I just need to master connection for both.. Its a pain, but fun trying..
:) as I cannot dig a hole on my desk, then practice and curves/deadzones will be my tools
jokes aside, do you suggest some tweaking on the throttles as well?
ok
my question arises from the fact that my non-tweaked TM old Warthog throttles, either accelerate too much, or decelerate too much as well
four hours practice, so far, on my side, with a10C: alllllmost acceptable results by day, .... horrible by night :))
edit just realized you're boon refueling though, haven't done much of that.
actually with the basket in the F/A-18C watch the pylon above where the hose runs. it'll have indictaor light for when in position and taking fuel, it should be about 5 degrees or so on your pitch ladder, and to the right the canopy spar thing should be aboout halfway through the USAF logo.
use REALLY smal throttle inputs to 'step' forward and away to maintain position. (i.E up a little bit, then back down, down a little bit then back up)
