I have another question.
What is a modifier key?
I use a MS FFB2 stick and use RShift and RCtrl keys to double my POV hat functions, so I get
PoV hat = Trim
RShift + PoV hat = DMS switch
RCtrl + PoV hat = TMS switch
It allows me to somewhat mimic the real stick with it's many hat switchs, even though my stick only has 1 PoV hat.
DCS allows a regular joystick button to be assigned as a "modifier" key, so if I had more buttons on my stick/throttle, I could use that instead of RShift/RCtrl
