A-10C Warthog question
I have the thrustmaster T1600M flight pack (Hotas and rudder pedals) and was wondering if this is good enough to use with the warthog?
Chuck's guides reccomends the real deal Thrustmaster Hotas warthog, but that is out of my reach right now.
Can I fly this plane with what I have?
Thanks guys!

You sure can although not as perfect as with the blingy expensive warthog.

Yes, the Thrustmaster T1600M is sufficent, you'll probable end up mapping some of the stick switchs/hats to the throttle and using a modifier key/button but other than that, it's ideally suited.

Skip to 7:24 for DCS A-10C suitability

Thanks for the help everyone!
I have another question.
What is a modifier key?

Assign one or more buttons on the stick or throttle as a modifier in the controls settings. Then you can assign a function to holding that button plus pressing another. It doubles your buttons.

It's like the "Shift" or "Ctrl" keys on a keyboard i.e. pressing the "1" key = "1" and "LShift+1" = "!"

I use a MS FFB2 stick and use RShift and RCtrl keys to double my POV hat functions, so I get

PoV hat = Trim
RShift + PoV hat = DMS switch
RCtrl + PoV hat = TMS switch

It allows me to somewhat mimic the real stick with it's many hat switchs, even though my stick only has 1 PoV hat.

DCS allows a regular joystick button to be assigned as a "modifier" key, so if I had more buttons on my stick/throttle, I could use that instead of RShift/RCtrl

I use the F-16000m to, if you need, search for a configuration online.
