First of all you should make clean instalation of operating system. You will avoid the all possible driver-hardware compatibility issues by this. If you are installing the Windows 10, download the latest version of windows from official microsoft page.
Also to make things work better, faster and more safe in Windows 10, make sure the UEFI, Secure Boot and TPM module is on.
Then just install the all hardware drivers and game.
It seems that the DLC released prior to the release date of the M-2000C DLC used the older StarForce Pro DRM. Therefore, if you purchased any DLC under Steam that was released prior to 04/20/2017 you can move them and use them under the standalone DCS World client.
You can check the release date for each DLC on the https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com website in the DLC's information page.
One note... It seems like the DCS: Flaming Cliffs 3 DLC which contains a number of aircraft was released in 2012. Therefore it should use the older StarForce Pro DRM.
Since it's release, ED have released the aircraft in the FC3 DLC as individual items but their release date is after 04/20/2017 and therefore cannot be transfered.
Hope the additional information help.
Thanks for this info, I will be installing a clean Windows 7, and i will update all drivers and windows updates before installing DCS. Fingers crossed it all goes well!
Thanks
Thanks for this additional info, i was unaware of this. Luckily the only Modules i will really be using is the A10C, and the F18 when i buy it with the new map.
Thanks!
Still trying to master the A10C and had it for ages!!
Found it on the developer's website on a Flash sale for $24 as against the normal $60.
Might be worth bookmarking them in case they do a flash sale again.
