F18 keybindings for the "Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog"

Hi. My issue is with the key bindings on the F18 using a Thrustmaster Warthog hotas. This is the second time i have purchased the F18 after getting a refund on steam due to this problem.
I have assigned all the buttons i need to the throttle and joystick of my device to the F18 in the control panel under "F18 Sim". When i go to start a new mission and select F18c as player, the bindings dont work!. Especially on the throttle. The Axis is all over the place.. Rudder acts as a throttle and the throttle acts as a ruder??..even if change it around they stay the same!..weird...Now i was told to assign using the "F18 game" settings???..... But there is no option to assign buttons to say,, Airbrake,,canopy,, flaps,,trim etc.. under F18 game in the control panel??..., but only under F18 sim which i have done. I like to point out i only fly for fun and air displays. Not into the weapons campaigns just yet.

Well i am so confused and frustrated as £60 is a lot of money for something thats not working correctly. Ive checked forums but nothing about my problem. Also, when creating a new mission, and select aircraft for me to fly,, for the F18, the options are "F18c" (which is not available) and "F18c lot 20..? This is all i can select but what is f18 lot 20???... Is this why my buttons dont work?...

Please help me sort this out as im desperate to fly this aircraft and create an air display with it.. I think Steam wont refund me again on this :(

If you assign your controls under F-18 Sim, you have to use the sim mode.
Have a look at "options - gameplay". Game flight mode and game avionic mode need to be unchecked.

In the editor, F18C is the AI only version. If you want to fly it, you have to select the F18C Lot 20 and set the skill to player.

Ok. Game flight mode and game avionic mode is checked,, so will uncheck it and see if it helps..Many thanks :)
