TrackIR profiles not loading
Hi guys. ive been trying to load a trackir profile but its not showing up when I restart the program. (do i need to restart pc? :/)
Ive tried putting the profile in the Program Files TrackIR Profiles folder and also in the AppData/Roaming TrackIR Profiles folder (basically the two places ive been able to locate the default profiles) but to no avail. Ive searched for this but have not found an answer yet. pls help. Thanks

TIR involved a lot of geometry calculation. distance, angles, ratios. Any changes will affect the user-end experiences. It heavily depends on your device setup, even room lighting condition will affect it too. there is no reason download other peoples profile...make no sense.

Few centermeters different will make curve different, shift and unsable. basic trigonometric common sense.

ofcourse. the plan was to load it and tweak it. i already have a rough profile ive been tweaking from scratch. wanted to note the difference and the effects.

its called "Copy of Default Profile" in TIR

? thats the profile im working with from scratch. want to load an already tweaked profile by someone else and see how that works and then compare with mine to learn how I can make mine better. if anyone can answer how to successfully upload it that would be great.

Oh dear. dumb author. he named it "Hud" and there IS a Hud profile loading. I saw it but I thought it must have been there from the start.

my setup principle based on screen size and my glass fov.
stare at one edge of screen turn head away. just before screen edge move out from my glass or im straggling to glance at the screen. that the physical limitation about your head maximum turning angles based on your monitor size and distence. then adjust the ratio, make that point = 190~200(-10 or -20) degrees.
then add "detent gap"( set to 0 or very small value) near HUD and MFD aspect. then you can "snap" at HUD or MFD.

BTW you can manaully edit the xml profile, to create a very special curve ,
or curve with mutiple snap gap
MFD pitch snap: https://image.ibb.co/cYGLMy/ss.jpg

thats pretty cool. i hadnt thought of stopping at displays. is it annoying while dofighting though? if you trying to chase opponent with eyes but you get stuck when in line with the display deadzones?

it did not stuck, just about 1~2 degree small input. just enough to make it "stable" while reading MFD. i got motion sickness when my head slightly wobble around while im trying read the MFD screen.

Here's a solution that helped me: https://www.freecodecamp.org/news/appdata-where-to-find-the-appdata-folder-in-windows-10/

TLDR; If you can't find the AppData folder (like me), its because the folder is hidden. If you go to Users -> (name) -> *Go to View tab at the top and checkmark the selection "Hidden items" to enable viewing this folder* You should now see AppData, Roaming, etc.

Hope this helps :)
