F-18 transfer to Standalone
I really don't want to purchase a new F-18 and Persian Gulf map for the Standalone. I wan't to play with my Carrier Air-Wing, and they are using Open Beta, and since steam doesnt keep up to date with the Open Beta, can I please transfer these modules over? Or can i get a full Refund for the F18 and Persian Gulf on Steam?

You cant transfer them over I ran into the Bullshitery point when years ago i got into DCS and bought modules on steam and oh a sale on the DCS website bought some modules from their, and this was when they intergrated into the Steam DCS, so everything worked fine until around September last year when the new DRM came out. What you could do as this is what I currently am doing, is stop bying from steam and use the DCS updater from SkateZilla add your steam DCS into the program, this allows you to update quicker, or within minutes of a published update the Skatzilla tool is great..

This does suck as I had to buy the Harrier twice same exact situation to have all of my modules in the same place as if your DCS switches to steam, you may lose some of the modules bought from ED website and vice versa if your DCS switches to stand alone you may lose your steam modules. You just have to start picking what version standalone or steam and keep it all contained that way.

if you have majority of your modules in steam you could keep them their and the skatezilla app will update the steam version.

will skatezilla bring the steam version up to date with the Open Beta? because i know that Steam doesnt have it currently

Current Steam Open Beta is up to date, in game the version number is reporting wrong, but if you have Open Beta in Steam installed it should be the same as the standalone. We try, within 24 hours of the standalone patch release, to have Steam updated. This week there were issues, so its generally faster.

NineLine, then why can't i play on Open Beta Servers?

Is there a way to tell which servers you can’t play because of version difference or do those simply not show up? This matters to me because I only have a couple servers that give me decent ping atm in open beta

If you can't join them, it will be greyed out.

Weird, I can play on open beta servers just fine.

You have auto-update selected, and you sure you are updated and on Open Beta? There was an update yesterday.

As far as I know Steam & Standalone share servers.
A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

I wish I can figure this out but I cannot. $79.99 it seems I have wasted my money.
