Microsoft Force Feedback 2 does not work with this?
My joystick is calibrated fine, and it works with all my other sims, including X-Plane 11, with no problems.

However, DCS World seems to put the centre of the stick off to the right, and just makes aircraft roll to the right.

Is there no way to calibrate this for the game?

There is a large thread on the ED forums about this: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=153843

It looks like the issue varies between various MSFF2s, but what solved it for me is swapping the FF axis.
