2 Player, one Cockpit, local co-op
Hi all,

I am totally new to this game and the community. I just stopped by to say 2 things:

1. This game is confusing from the outside. The F-18 DLC thing costs 70€. What exactly do I get for that money? How does it all work? Maybe it's just me but there needs to be a better explaining of what is what and what you need to get started imho.

2. I was playing combat flight sims back in the 90's. Since then the genre was strangely abandoned. Some of the games I remember were F-16 Combat Pilot (Digital Integration), Falcon (Spectrum HoloByte), F15 Strike Eagle III (Microprose) and Longbow 2 (Jane's Combat Simulations). What I would love to see would be "modules" or "aircraft" or "game modes" for two- seaters, like the F-14 D Tomcat, the F-15 E Strike Eagle, the F-18 F or maybe even an Apache Helicopter. The clue would be to play togehter with a friend in one aircraft, or as they call it now: "local co-op" play. :)

Are there any plans about those things?

1. If you purchase the module, you can fly it. In the Hornet, you get interactive training missions and a lot of quickstart missions. You can join a multiplayer server or build your own missions in the included editor. You can fly together in the L-39 and Gazelle right now. Multiseat is also planned for the Mi-8 and UH-1 Huey. Note that you and your friend would have to purchase the module if you want to fly coop.

On a single PC you can´t.
2 Seated modules can be played together if each of the 2 players owns the module itself and the map you fly. You also each will need a separate PC to run DCS on either Multiplayer Internet or local network since there is no splitscreen available :)
Oh and it may be wise not to necro an old thread but instead just open your own.
