Bogy Dope
So, I sort of know what the stuff in a bogy dope is. All I know is the 034 (heading) at 2000 (altitude) and the Hot/Cold. What does all the other stuff mean? And is there a place to find this stuff? I've tried looking online but didn't find much

BRA = Bearing Range Altitude from you

Bulls = Bearing Range Altitude from Bullseye

So, calling for bogey dope, you either get a clean call, which means that AWACS sees nothing on radar, or you get either a BRA or Bulls call. I believe that greater than 40km is bulls and closer is bra, but I could be wrong about that. If you hear "BRA 180 for 15 at 25000, the target is 15km (mi?) direct south of you at 25000ft.

Bulls 270 for 15 at 16000 would be a target 15mi/km west of the bullseye at 16000ft.

Not sure how your default unit settings affect the callouts.

EDIT: After requesting Bogey Dope, you recieve a BRA callout or clean callout, no bulls callout.

Try drawing it out on a piece of paper. Draw a bullseye, then draw your plane, then draw the other plane and it's vector. For simplicity's sake just assume they're at equal energy states. Draw the vectors (roughly) and then try to image the callouts AWACS would give you. They're ___ degrees from you/bulls, ____ miles, at ____ altitude.

GCI? What's that?

Ground Controlled Interception. Similar to AWACS. Static or mobile radarstations but on the ground, which give you intel on anything that's in the sky.
