What is your connection to the server you are playing in, are you using a SSD drive, any other specs would be nice.

I would say an SSD would be a must, especially with your specs being on the lower end. I know many people have stated that moving DCS to a SSD drive has helped them, and I have a number of versions, some on and some off SSD drives, and I see a difference as well.
I get this stuttering and freezing constantly on 2.5.0, and I was getting it on 2.5.1 after a day or two of my first installation (was totally fine for the first day or so and then got progressively worse to being unplayable and crashing 80% of the time), but it seemingly disappeared a couple days after that (for 2.5.1). RAM usage never exceeds 70% on 2.5.0 either, including in large missions.

My specs, i5 8600k w/ 2x8gb RAM @ 3000mhz, evga's gtx 1070 ftw+, game installed on a samsung 850 evo SSD w/ 90gb left, Windows 10x64 OS and everything else is on separate hard drives. Page file is on the SSD as well.

Have you ever deleted your fxo and metashader folders? They are in your Saved Games/DCS/ folder. The game will recreate them.

I did so when I upgraded to 2.5 originally, and when I updated to 2.5.1. I heard that the game would automatically recreate them, but I ended up having to run a repair through the cmd line in order to do anything as it would crash with an error.

When the 2.5.1 issues magically appeared and then cleared up just as miraculously, I had done absolutely nothing other than not playing for a couple days once it got bad enough.

Ok, good to hear.
@Nineline:

Nothing is good, we have been discussing the Topic for quite some Time in the Forum with 213 Posts. There has not been much Improvement so far and DCS is almost non-flyable for many People,Online and Offline.
It's tinkering with the F-18C and Raindrops on the Windshield, but the Base is not right. What is the Use for us if it does not work?
The Problem exists since version 2.5.0 and extends into the current 2.5.1.
An SSD alone will not solve the Problem.

Here is the Threat:

Yesterday,

DCS updated to 2.5.1 OB-Update 1 and today in the early Morninghours, i have made a big Testflight with a Flighttime of 2:39 Hours.
DCS 2.5.1 Update 1 is running really very good.

Absolutly NO FREEZE!

Thanks to Eagle Dynamics
