Joystick not showing up

Hey guys! Since today I suddenly have the problem that when I start DCS world my joystick won't show up in the control settings. Just yesterday it was working fine. I googled already and tried deleting the input folder or disabling steam default controller in big picture mode without any result. The only thing I can imagine right now is that there was a steam update that somehow broke that, since everything was working fine yesterday and I didn't change anything since that. Does someone have the same problem?

Yes it shows up and works fine there

Thanks for the help. Do you now how I start DCS without steam? When I click on steamapps/common/DCSWorld/bin/DCS.exe it always starts steam first bevor it starts the game. When I unplug and plug in the joystick while I'm in DCS I can hear the USB windows sound but nothing happens in game. Reinstalling the game didn't help as well.

Ok I was able to solve it:
I went into big picture mode and selected DCS World. There I went into the game settings and chose controller options. In the first dropdown for steam foreign controllers I chose "always off" and started the game and my Joystick showed up again.

check ur settings at steamsettings controller there was an option which blocked the joystick for me aswell some months ago.
just cant remember which option exactly. i had just disabled them all

Just had this problem too.
Disabling it on DCS World menu in steam big picture mode worked.

click view select big picture mode then select library then click on dcs then manage game it wtll say under controler options use steam configuration for non steam controler set to force off

Got the same thing, but my PC just didn't see it due to damaged port, I just used another port and voila, now flying and relaxing

I am having the same problem, joystick isn't working, but I have set steam configuration to 'Force Off' and my game still will not recognize the joystick. It has been working fine, until I started DCS without my joystick plugged in. I have used multiple USB ports and restarted my game multiple times.
