DCS World Steam Edition

Missing Aircraft Even Though Installed
I was literally flying the A10c literally a few hours ago learning the ropes - i've also flown the F-15 in the last few days but both aircraft are now completely missing from the main menu, campaigns, single missions etc as well as the backroom images i put up of the A10c in game. Can anyone tell me what on Earth has gone on? I don't really expect to pay top dollar for a plane only for it to go missing?

I've added images below.

Have you tried to go into the Module Manager? Should be able see it in the main menu screen.

ROK where can i find the module manager?

There should be an icon right next to the option icon.

It looks like this.

Since I don't see the icon on your picture, my guess is that your client needs to be updated or you are not logged in properly and playing it as a offline.

Well, im not sure. I'm playing it online and literally just updated it.

I am not sure what will be the issue. All I know is that you need to activate and install each aircraft at the module manager in DCS now.

Steam is different, there is no module manager. Steam does weird things. Sometimes i restart the computer and it fixes it. you can go into settings and go to downloads and clear the download cache. Sometimes that works. I googled it a bunch of times and found solutions. If i had more time i would link them but i dont sorry. Google it and see what you get. Good luck

Many times you have to uncheck them, restart Steam and then recheck to reinstall, then restart Steam, then maybe verify files, also rub your belly and pat your head at the same time... :) I dont know why Steam has troubles with new modules, but even I have seen it.

I'm in the same boat I almost have all DLC for the game yet I'm missing SU 27, 33, all the Mig, Viggen, but i have everything else. I had to format my system an i was punching the keyds in but like I said when you have over 3/4 of all them doing it all in one go is not an hour of fun. they show there owned just got to find that little hick up is all

so i just did a count i have 16 out of 36 activated so there is a lot not done yet, an there all hiding when i go to the game I count 36 an there is only 16 that show that makes sence that's ruffly the amount I did before I got tired of it lol

As noted Steam version is different and has no module manager. You did not have Standalone version installed, right? That could cause issues I think. (Since you can link A-10C starforce key to DCS account)

Been a long time since I used the Steam version, but generally with other DLCs
on Steam, what NineLine said. Untick the DLCs in the Steam menu, restart Steam, tick DLC again, restart. See if download starts, try the verify files.

Maybe even go into the DCS Steam root folder, and look for the files (maybe make backup^^) of t he A-10C and delete them manually and verify files again. I am not sure about the F-15C only folder, since I use Flaming Cliffs 3. Folders:

A-10[bC[/b]:"\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DCSWorld\Mods\aircraft\A-10C\
FC3: ":\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DCSWorld\Mods\aircraft\Flaming Cliffs\
Btw Terrains/Combined Arms/ Asset pack are here: "\DCSWorld\Mods\tech\" & "\DCSWorld\Mods\terrains"

If that doesn't work (which it sounds like), Steam has download folders for temporary files and if there is somekind of issue, sometimes Steam will have trouble untill you delete them. These files/folders are always a bit hidden, behind the Steam app number, not actually named for the game. I think default that should be in:

"\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\downloading\"
"\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\temp\

Sorry that's all I can think off right now, if somebody knows this issue from Steam client please jump in.

edit: Seph, just to confirm since you are not OP, you are on DCS-Steam version aswell right?

edit2: A little bit grasping at straws here, searching I saw an issue, where Downloads didn't start (but were in que in the DL list) was caused by corrupt Steam client. User reported repairing / installing Steam version over current Steam install helped.
