Moving Install to new Drive

Have a DCS beta install (non steam one) - just wondering what the best way is to move to a new SSD drive - complete reinstall or can you cut and paste?

please read the post! "non-steam" version of DCS (I do not want to move my steam version have already moved that with no problem..........)

Last time I did that (a few months ago) it was simple copy and paste/moving the DCS folder to a new drive, you only need to update the shortcut.

thanks - seems to be straight forward - also been told i need to change registery location of the install? (any ideas on how to do this and if this is even necessary for game updates to work?)
