Help with TDC slew Problems. TDC will not slew Mav camera
I been trying to get it, the mav IR, to work for hours and no cigar. I keep it simple and mapped TDC movement on the arrow keys and TDC depress on the Enter key and the camera will not slew. Yes it is uncaged when i try to slew it and i have watched a ton of guides on YT. I can see things in the camera and even lock if i point my plane right. but slew will not work.

If any one knows how to fix this please respond, help will be very much appreciated.

I had that exact same problem with IR mavericks in the DCS AV8B - don't kow what plane you're flying but in the harrier you need to make the mav screen the sensor of interest (SOI) otherwise the systems assume you're still controlling the sensor pod or dual mode sensor maguffin on the right screen.
On my set up it's Right Hat Switch Up to change SOI & I'm using the joystick button setup suggested on Chucks Harrier guide

Hope this is useful - it took me ages to realise & I still forget sometimes when I'm trying to lock up a target with mavs.

Good luck!

Are you holding enter as you try to slew? Do you have the realistic slew option selected in the options?
I am holding enter. when i first was trying it i had realistic slew selected. just tried it with it unselected and no joy.
Still will not work for me the process i am doing is as fallows

Master Arm
A/g.
button above MAV twice Camera screen comes up and i can see through it or i have to wait for cool down.
uncage: screen displays uncage.

Then i try to mover the camera with hold enter and arrow keys.

Binds as follows

C: cage/ uncage
TDC depress: Enter
TDC down: down arrow
TDC left: left arrow
TDC right: right arrow
TDC up: Up arrow

note i also had these bound to my HOTOS hat at first but moved to key board when they would not work.

Thank you for your assistance.

Are you trying to slew with the mav itself or are you trying to slew with a targeting pod?
I am using the IR MAV and trying to get the camera on the MAV to slew. I don’t have the targeting pod equipped.

I can zoom with the camera cage and uncage it even keeps pointed at the ground when I turn. I can bore sight it when I cage again. But for the life of me I can’t get it to slew on command.
I posted my key binding in my screenshots.

Thank you much. I was able to switch it to the right screen of the F 18 and it works. Now I just need to switch the SOI to the left. But at least it’s working.

Again thank you.
Ok I got it all figured out now, thanks for the help.
For those experiencing the same problem.
Us the Sensor control switch-left (RAlt+,) a small green cross hair looking icon will appear in the top right corner of the left screen.
Now you can use the TDC to control the sensor.
Nice - well done sorting it out - I was thinking of getting the F18, but the Harrier got me & I'm really enjoying the vertical take off & landing fun, not to mention the chaos of hovering onto a moving ship!
