Harrier, Mirage 2000 or something else.

Want to spend about £25 on a new AC for DCS but can't decide between the Mirage 2000, Harrier or potentially something else if anyone has any recommendations.

I like both A2A and A2G, i only recently picked up DCS and a Joystick and have been loving it so far. The only high fidelity aircraft i own so far is the A10 and have been getting along well with it, i also own flaming cliffs dlc.

harrier does a2a and a2g as well as carrier OPs.

mirage *might* be my next purchace but I adore the harrier.

Personally, I'd go with the Mirage mainly because you already have the A-10C. That way, you'll be able to do A2A or A2G.

I mean, the Harrier can carry a couple of AIM-9's, but it doesn't have a radar so it's about as good at A2A as the A-10C is.. it's just faster.

The Mirage is a blast to fly. It accelerates very quickly, has a nice top speed, handles extremely well and the Super 530 radar guided missiles damn near NEVER miss as long as you fire them within a reasonable range. The radar works very well on the Mirage, too. It holds the lock very reliably, especially when you compare it to the F-14B or, especially, the F/A-18C which sucks at holding a lock.

This isn't to say the Harrier isn't fun, it's just that if it was me, I'd enjoy having two modules meant for two different things (A2A and A2G) instead of 2 modules meant to do the same thing, ground attacks.

You pretty much hit it on the head, will wait for a couple more opinions but i think i will go for the Mirage especially considering it can carry some bombs as well if needed.

Harrier can carry AIM-9's but i wouldnt recommend it as an a2a module. It is by far my favourite plane in DCS but for the OP 's sake I would recommend the mirage ( i dont have it) because it can do both

You can try watching gameplay of each plane on youtube. And also tutorial vids of each. Out of the 2, the Mirage best fits what you are looking for

The Mirage is fast, has good a2a weapons and has only one negative: the cockpit is in french...

I don't know about the harrier, but the m2k built in campaign is awesome. Another one, even better, is available for a small fee (and Nevada map).

Mirage 2000C is awesome, cockpits version available: English and French, Fly-by-Wire, A2A, A2G.
