DCS World Steam Edition

DCS World Steam Edition

CPU/GPU good for DCS?
Hi, I am thinking about getting a Ryzen 5 2400G and a RX 570 8GB card with 16GB of ram. Is this enough to run DCS well?

Whith my 4770K + GTX 1070 + 16GB I was able to run the game at high settings... does the GPU make so much difference?

recently i did an upgrade on my pc.
I dont know what budget you have to spent, but i bought this cpu and gpu.

i7 - 9700K + RX 5700 XT

so my pc now is:

i7 - 9700K 3.60Ghz + 24GB DDR4 + RX 5700 XT 8GB GDDR6 + SSD 1TB

You need more CPU power for VR in general, but graphics card is where you really need to invest to enjoy many of the titles out there. Pretty much any overclocked i7 will do, but you will need a good card, and not just the recommended entry level VR card.

For AMD, I would recommend their 3700x, but the i7 9700k will perform better in gaming world.

The cheap option is the i5 9600k which can be overclocked towards a i7 9700k performance, and seems to be focused on gamers.

For card, you really do want an Nvidia. I run a gtx 1080, and on the most part it's good, but I do have to tweak and would benefit with more GPU power.
I have a RX 5700 XT + i7 - 9700K
