Triple Rack for F16

So, i find lots of pictures and sources that the F-16 has triple rack launchers, like the A-10c. That would give the f-16 an huge advantage over the hornet on ground strikes. Like 2 triple racks mavericks = 6 mavericks. Or one triple GBU rack and 3 Mavericks and you still have 4 more hardpoints to attach more anti ground weapons :D

Youre right. Other hardpoints are for aa only

One thing i love about these hardpoints are that on the wingtips you can attach Amraams

The F-16 can use the triple racks ircc, but the innermost pylon runs the risk of damaging the elevator, when it is used because something(and I can't remember what) comes off of the maverick as it launches. I'm certain I read this on the ED forums in the F-16 section.

GBU-12s can be mounted on a double rack maximum due to space restrictions with fuel tanks.
Mavericks however can be mounted on triple racks. All of this and more is specified in the manual, it's a good read!

F-16 never flew operationally with triple mavericks on each mav capable station as combat loadout (did however with transfer loadout.) it only flew with double during first gulf war. Otherwise its always been flown with one per station for a total of 2. as has been stated, innermost mavs eject their rocket plug near the rear stabs with a severe chance of damaging the aircraft.

Same is true with the A-10, from what I recall the innermost aren't used.

Innermost can and have been used operationally with the A-10 early in its life unlike the F-16.

IIRC you can only add tripple mounted bombs, can't slap AGMS on the inner wing pylons on the A-10C.
