Weapons not firing in A-10C training mission for GAU-8/A and rockets practice.
I am flying the A-10C in the training mission for learning to use the rockets and gun and I follow all instructions directly but when I am to fire upon the targets; my weapons won't fire (both the gun and rockets).

When I attempt to fire the gun, PAC-2 appears but the gun isn't firing. My weapons are armed and I made sure that the rockets were selected on my weapons page.

However, whenever I fly on a target practice mission my gun and other weapons DO fire.

I do not understand what I am doing wrong and the manual is no help. I also cleared the controls for the keyboard control to fire the gun (space bar) and weapons release (L ALT+space bar) since I am using a Logitech X3D PRO flight stick with JPY-BTN 2 for weapons release and JPY-BTN 1 for gun.

No other posts I search for help solve these problems so help would be greatly appreciated since this is becoming frustrating.

First guess would be that masterarm is in training mode.

How would I check key bindings? I already cleared everything out and reselected would that fix it?
I checked the rest of those as well.

I checked my master arm and made sure it was armed.

Training and instant action have master arm, tgp and guns enabled by default. Missions/campign have systems off by default from what i recall. The switches are on lower left of front panel neat left mfcd. Hope you get it working right!

Gear down will also prevent you from shooting. :P (just an idea!)

I gotta try that some time, it has been years since I did any A-10C tutorials, last time too was only to check for bugs. :)

Right WIN + Home for scripted start. Right WIN + End for auto shutdown.

Those scripted starts or shut-downs are IMO good only for begineers. Later you will find that is limiting yourself because you will want to set something different than is in those pre-scripted autoprocedures. Also, specially in WWII aircraft this auto-start procedure works only in "no-weather conflict" condition. E.G. when it is too cold outside, the autostart won't work because it won't prime engine enough. Or for UH-1H you have to connect external power source because in such cold condition the accumulator just won't give you enough power to spin frozen gears in frozen oil.
