Can I play DCS World with a controller?

I bought the game DCS World today but I don't know whether I can play the Game with a wireless controller. Please help.

if you mean like a ps3 thing then., well yes but its pretty bad, you will still need a keboard, honestly i found originally that once youre used to the keyboard and mouse its far better and easier to controll, then go for a stick later to get more enjoyment

you bought the game? the game is free? did you buy a DLC? anyway, yes you can use a controller but I really dont recommend it. Use a joystick for the best experience. If you want a cheap one I recomend the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, its pretty cheap and is good. Also, please make sure you do research before you buy something, if you dont, you might have some regrets.

The game is over 10 years old. In those times the game was not for free. Logitech Extreme 3d Pro is good if you want to try this simulator. But his lifetime is quite short. Max 2 years. There are much better product for same price. Like defender Cobra M5

yes I know it's free. I'll see if I get a joystick. But with a keyboard, it's not so much fun. Constantly any combinations with Ctrl or Alt

To get the best experience out of it, you need a HOTAS and some facetracking. Everything else is just not very immersive

I am using a xbox 360 controler for DCS. I want to buy me a HOTAS soons as i can but it is possible to ly wit h a pad to answer your question. The most of time i am flying aerobatics in close formations and it works for me. Many people told me that i am better in formation flying and realy realy close flying then other people with 300 € HOTAS. So you have to learn learn learn and practise is the key for everything in dcs ! So start with the pad and if you want to dive deeper in the the world of DCS you have to buy a HOTAS soon as possible for the full emersion and control of those planes !

Ich habe gesehen, du bist auch Deutscher. Melde dich bei mir, wenn du hilfe bei der Konfiguration brauchst ! Ich helfe dir gerne und kann dir sicher auch noch das ein oder andere erklären.

Alles klar. Mich nervt halt nur dass man Ständig Tastenkombinationen drücken muss. Wenn ich das Triebwerk starten will dann mache ich das mit RStrg und Pos1 aber irgendwie ist diese Steuerung doppelt besetzt weil die Kamera immer wechselt wenn ich die taste drücke aber das Triebwerk nicht angeht. Ist sehr seltsam. Aber ich werde mich erst in den Ferien richtig mit DCS beschäftigen
