Rudder pedals?
I've really been wanting to buy the Huey in dcs but don't have rudder pedals, do I really NEED rudder pedals to fly without dying? I currently have the Logitech extreme 3D pro. Also how do you turn the 'easier control mode' for helicopters?

I picked up the Huey module a month ago and have been flying it without rudder pedals (I too was tempted to invest in a set). However, I have the Thurstmaster HOTAS X flightstick and it allows a twisting action to take the place of rudder pedals and this is more than sufficient. It seems that your Logitech offers the same sort of action so I would say save yourself the money unless you really need the experience.

Oh nice! Yeah, I didn't really feel like investing $200+ into pedals. Thanks! Might go buy a Huey now ;)

I am not sure but there coul'd be special options to enable auto rudder.

Do you know how to turn Auto rudder on?

Now I came from work and checked it. Well, there is not autorudder. It is only for prop airctafts.

I've been flying the huey for about a month with thrustamaster 16000m stick and throttle. It's fine with a twisty stick, but I am saving up for pedals anyway as i feel the huey is just too squirly without them.

I know alot of people will complain its not realistic and just buy a set of pedals,
but If you got a steering wheel with pedals, just use them. I have a Logitech G25 and the pedals work great, especialy for the helis.
I use the accelerate and Clutch pedals for rudder, similar height and resistence.
leaving the brake free for wheel brakes or something else.

Personally I think it beats the twist action of joysticks.
just follow the link https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=877393

Hope it helps.

Honestly I use the twist on my T16000M and it’s really about getting used to your setup

The best way to now is to conect them and try to set axis for them. The G-25 pedals can be set to separate axis (1 pedal = 1 axis i mean).

I use MFG crosswind rudder pedals but they are very expensive. But their price is adequate to their quality.
Also Thrustmaster makes some rudder pedals or VKB has good one. I do not recomend any Saitek pedals.
