Can't Navigate Menus??

Seriously, how does anyone even play this? I tried closing SteamVR and launching it "Non-VR" to make it easier to figure out and yet it reopens my SteamVR anyway. So I'm forced to try to figure this all out in my headset rather than on my monitor. The mouse won't move, of course, so I have to "look" at things to select them (worst navigation tactic ever from a crappy pre-roomscale Oculus development). Of course, despite things highlighting by looking at them, I can't even select them. Enter doesn't work, Space doesn't work, clicking all of Vive controller buttons doesn't work, mouse clicking doesn't work, and no buttons on my HOTAS work. So... now what? The only thing that "worked' was pressing escape which got rid of the "login" window for me. The keyboard wouldn't even type text in the login window and, of course, there was no option to "register". Is it just me, or is this absolutely the worst UI ever devised? I shouldn't need a forum to figure out how to select menu items!

you need to setup your VR in options, there is a VR setting for level of graphics and there is also a VR tab where you have to check all three boxes allowing your mouse to work on your headset. then plug in your headset, then restart DCS world, make sure you are sitting as you would like in your cockpit, when you launch dcs the VR will center you at that near moment.

If he can't select anything how can he get to the VR option?

as this is a 3 year old post:

VR options:
Use Mouse enabled or disabled? Disabled, you must use your mouse
Use VR hands enabled or disabled? Enabled, this will only work in certain aircraft (full flight model only, no FC3)

In game:
Mouse Enabled: some sort of weird mouse/headlook hybrid. requires finagling
Disabled: remap your left and right mouse button to something on your throttle
