Ryzen 5 1600X or i5 7600K for DCS
To DCS Community
I am considering building a new gaming PC. One of the more demanding games I will be playing would be DCS : A10C. I typically like to create huge battles with many units using the Mission Editor.

Having found both the Ryzen 5 1600X and the i5 7600K for the same proce, I wonder: would the game benifit more from the sheer number of cores of the Ryzen 5, or the single core performance of the I5?

P.S. When it comes to DCS, is a faster CPU or better GPU more important? I've heard that it is the GPU that makes a gaming rig, while others say that DCS is a very CPU demanding game.

For 1.5.whatever the CPU is more-so important. Not saying the GPU isn't but the game was built with more CPU in mind. Dcs 2.whatever will want to use more GPU. This is what I learned.

higher clock is the winner, dcs is using 2 cores max(if not correct me:D). gpu wise 4-3 GB video memory if plannind to play on high settings and ram as much as your wallet and mobo allows....naah 16GB should be ok. 8GB will be ok too but it will be very tight for multiplayer or dense missions.
..one of the last missions with huey was lagging like hell maybe i replay it again (i changed only the gpu)...

Would a GTX 1050 TI (4 GB VRAM) allow me to play with high settings at around 60fps?
