Bf 109 K-4 Kurfürst rolls to the right by itself and I cannot make it fly in straight line
Does anyone else have this issue?

There is no trim option for rolling. But the jet keeps rolling hard to the right side as soon as I start flying it, and I have to constantly use the joystick to fix it's position. Is this a bug, or I am not understanding something about this jet?

It is not a jet - it is propeller aircraft. Some roll is normal since engine will cause torque that will roll the aircraft. It is normal in WW2 warbirds.

Start by looking at this:

Then check axis assignment bindings that there's nothing messing with controls, the make sure you have enough airspeed.

There's no aileron trim in the 109, just elevator trim. The other wheel control is for flaps.

P-51/TF-51 has more trims.

Ok, i will do that.

this is also in the real world. Many Planes have this. Its because of the twisting moment

I checked the controls, and there are no conflicts. The plane keeps rolling right all the time (none stop), and it gets much worse when I increase the speed. It is the only plane I have that is doing that. I created a ticket for this issue, but they said this is not a technical issue, and that I have to ask the community for things like that.

The real Bf-109G4 was equipped with fixed trim tabs in all control surfaces, (pitch, roll, and yaw axis) and It could be trimmed on-ground, for cruising speed and it was able to fly hands off, straight and wings leveled with elevator trim indicator set in ZERO at approx. 450 Km/h IAS, and engine regime 1.05 ATA/2.100 RPM, in acording with The test pilot Volker Bau said in this video.(minute 5:00)
https://youtu.be/EDMzZOOIFro?t=5m

Due to, many claims, of the virtual pilots community in reference at bad modelling of the K4 trimmer controls, E.D. developers added the rudder and aileron trim tabs settings in the OPTIONS/SPECIAL of the module, (but they not added the elevator fixed trim tabs settings) that you must be adjusted prior to start the flight.

By the way, after more than 2 years of released, the DCS:Bf-109K4 at the moment, is worst quality and the more unfinised module of DCSW, (it have some important bugs, such as; elevator trim, weight & balance, etc.), and it lack of the real complete armament, bombs, gunpods, etc.
Dozens of virtual pilots were banned, and still banned in the DCS forum for reporting bugs or claim improvements for this module.
We hope that with the new Normandy maps released yesterday for DCSW 2.1 they re-start the work in this amazing aircraft.

It isn't a bug, it's the torque from the propellor, you must input rudder to counteract it. This is why support didn't accept it, it isn't a bug.

In the Bf-109 the propeller torque effect is compensated by vertical stabilizer airfoil proportional to airspeed. [scontent-mad1-1.xx.fbcdn.net] . According to Volker Bau said, almost there is not torque effect in flight, the torque effect appears only on ground because there is not enought airspeed in the tailfin airfoil. It is a bug in the game clearlly.
By the way, the game have a "special setting" screen, for the K4 rudder fixed trim tabs, as i said previusly, but not work well.

I stand correctly, I own the 109 but haven't had a chance to fly it yet. I just assumed it was like the other aircraft

Thanks for your reply everyone. I will just add this plane to the garbage collection's list. Even if this is how this plane fly in real life, I have no interest in flying a jet or plane that forces me to constantly use my joystick or rudder to fix the plane during the whole flight.

It's definitely different and frustrated me at frist as it's not as easy to fly as P-51 with all the trim settings. I think I got it now tho. It just needs more TLC. Set the Governor Automation to ON, Set manifold pressure to 1.1 ATA and trim elevators. Set ground trim to neg 20 and it flies great with a few little adjustments. My understanding is the BF-109's required more hands on during flight but in cruise it's not much more than P-51. The special section replicates ground crews bending the tabs on the ground before flight.. For what it's worth. This is a BEAST of a plane with MW50 injection.
