FLY'N

First Boss (Slow-downs)
I've been loving FLY'N so far, and I've been playing without any problems until I get to the first boss. Everything runs fine until he starts spitting out those pixelated green projectiles. Every time one comes out, the game stops for a moment, and then continues, and ONLY when he shoots those. I find it interesting that the pixelated green swords don't have the same effect. Does anyone know what could be causing the problem? Again, absolutely no problems up until this first boss, and only when he fires the green projectiles.

I'm not sure if this'll help, but here's a video of what's going on.

I figured this information might be asked for, so here it is. Hopefully it's everything that you guys need.

For now I don't know why you have such bug with this specific effet. Could you try to test it with a lower screen resolution. Or may be your CPU is a bit weak ... i'll check some benchmarks

Well I checked. I really think that your CPU is a bit weak and you need some RAM ( 2 GO is the minimal request we set). There are no way for you to solve that issue ( there is no option for that). You will probably have the same problem in some levels with lot of stuff.

I hope you will enjoy the game anyway. Sorry

It does the same thing even when it's at the lowest resolution. What I don't get is that I haven't experienced any problems throughout the whole second world, including the second boss. Heck, there were no slow-downs inside the first boss. It's just that one attack that he does, and it really makes no sense, because everything else has run just fine. I guess it's not that big of an issue, because it seems like I'll be able to beat the game. However, whenever I start doing my 100% run on each of the levels, that one is going to be a chore, because I'll have to be lucky not to get killed by a lag shot for that no death achievement. Thanks for the quick response.

To be honnest I don't know why you suffer from lags only with this boss. You seams to have a good graphic card so reducing the screen resolution won't change anythings ( as you noticed it).

I will just drop in here and say I experienced the same thing. Lowering resolution did nothing but make the beautiful art look worse, but it still had the nice hitches when he fired the machine gun-esque green blocks. I also had some nice stuttering in the graphics in the first half of the cutscene just after that boss, and audio was stuttering for the entire cutscene.

I'll throw my 2 cents in as well. I've had the exact same problem. Everything works fine till that boss starts shooting out those pixelated green projectiles. I've had no problems otherwise threw the game, just that boss green projectile for whatever reason.

I no longer have the game installed, so I have no idea if this'll fix the problem, but I ran into some graphical glitches on Alan Wake a month or so back. I couldn't figure out why the game looked so horrible, until someone finally shed some light on the situation. I'm using a Nvidia GeForce card, and had my settings set to performance. Someone told me to let the application decide, and upon changing it to those settings, it fixed all the problems I was having with Alan Wake. I never had that problem with any other game except for that one, so if perhaps you have your settings set the same way I did, try letting the application decide. It's a shot in the dark, but hey, it's worth a shot.

The first boss stutters for me too with an i7-2600K, GTX 690, and 8 GB of memory. I doubt it has anything to do with the poster's PC.

This game actually stutters quite a bit but it wasn't a serious problem until the first boss.

Same problem here, when the boss drops big missiles and launches pixelated squares (after the second hit). Otherwise no problems until now.

Maybe it's a problem of the system configuration? Like Framework or something? I don't know...

Leland, you can't set the graphics settings, only the screen size.
