2. DO NOT use headphones. (SERIOUSLY, DON'T USE HEADPHONES!! That's gonna give you a heart attack)

3. Play in DARK with beers and snacks. (trololol)

just turn sound down, it's mainly the sound and atmosphere that makes the game scary, not the monsters.

id start violently vomiting if i opened that because dubstep is disgustingly bad.. it would be scarier than any survival horror game out combined.

well you have very bad taste in music

and don't use surround sound, not unless you actually have a decent sound card and speakers (not logitech 5.1's lol)

I got a Asus Xonar STX and some professional stuidio headphones, and games sound amazing, ecspecially a game like CoF, so id reccomend the STX and a decent pair of STEREO headphones, no surround headphones, because its all just a gimmick,

I am playing it right now with headphones and tea with cookies.Not scared so much but this game is dark and sad aswell.Anyway i like dark and sad ♥♥♥♥.
