Worth playing? Is the game Scary?

Well seeing as "Scary" is a completely subjective term its hard for Me to say if the game is worth Your time.
I quite enjoy it, but you should just play it and find out for yourself. Its free afterall

this was literally the worst game I have ever played in my life... The Co-op was so bad I want to end my life... There was an invincible chainsaw dude and I couldn't hear my gun, as well as a flying zombie in a bedframe. DO NOT waste your time with this game!

This game is full of bugs since it just came out as a stand alone. Its an old mod I think for Half Life. Just give it a liitle bit of time and it should get improved. For scary I havent got scared yet but it feels creepy to me

MP SCARES:MEDIUM - LOW

- Co Op Is great team work and fun! Its hard and requires 2-3 players to at least get going.....
- Singleplayer has a epic story, that only needs two cutscenes to explain what happened. The begining of the story and the end really blow your mind.(so if you plan on playing don't watch the ending before beating it, it won't ruin gameplay, but it will ruin mysterious factor.)
- Singleplayer consists mostly of jumpscares.
- The enemies are freaky, and vary.
- The ways they will jumpscare will vary, in multiplayer they don't jumpscare much, but instead trap.
- Co Op has survival mode, or just missions as cops try to fight the monsters.
- The game is great, if you too freaked out, just stick with multiplayer and you should be decently fine.

Invincible chainsaw dude? Are you talking about the dual one? I killed him. Three shots in the head with the Semi Auto Rfile. Yeah flying zombie on bedframe? That's defines it as a bad game? Its like saying Silent Hill had nurses = terrible game. But i doubt anyone would take that seriously since you do have a roll face on your profile icon. lol

If you must ask if the game is scary, I must ask that you not play it--for your sake. I have a feeling you will mess yourself. I know, because I watch horror movies laughing and almost messed myself within the FIRST FIVE MINUTES OF THE GAME.
Now, it's not a consistent horror high, but it will seriously spook you, and if you're not careful and if you let your guard down, it will mess you right up. If you're okay with freaky things happening suddenly and randomly for no reason, by all means, play it. Just be sure to put up with freaky stuff and hard puzzles.

Difficulty can be changed with the console if you type difficutly 0-4 I think. 0 for easiest. Higher for hard.

Theres no such thing as wasting time with this game if its free. Its either you try it or not. But life is full of risks so it wont hurt to play it for the first time and if people dislike it it can always be deleted. No money wasted.

In my opinion I think its worth your time. And in my term in scary I mean like creepy sounds to creepy atmospheres and this game has it. There are alot of jumpscares in the campaign XD and theres the multiplayer still to play but requires something like hamachi or tunngle. There are alot to unlock like clothes to customize your character and theres a way to get secret weapons like a death camera and more. A couple easter eggs along the way too ;) There are also custom campaigns to play and Im not sure if they are going to update now and then but as for now theres a few and good amount to play to keep you on the edge of your seat. To me this game is worth it. Plus its free and if you hate it just delete it. No harm done. :D

i like the people that say the game is scary. Then you see they played co-op. of course a game isnt scary if you have itunes playing music, the lights are on and your friends are behind you screaming like monkeys in real life or on skype.

I hosted by port forwarding, actually..... It was the only way I was able to host. SO I rage quit tungle and friend told me ports was something like 20015-20020 or something like that. Then I type in heartbeat in console and sv_lan 0 in console to be sure its working, and tell them my ip address.They connect with connect <ip number here>. Probably works much better than tunngle.

Ohh of course this works so much better than tunngle XD Its hosting a real server so you get best results.
