1st Door crash

Since day one of downloading Cry of Fear I've encountered this glitch where after interacting with the first openable door, after the padlock door, it starts up the loading screen for the next area but it just freezes. Anyone know how to fix this?

I have had the same problem probably 3 times in a row. I haven't tried in awhile though...

too many bugs, first door is bugged out after the whole X sequence, you cant activate the notepad in your items without it bugging out, and I count about 3 different error messages while trying to open the door mentioned in the op. This would be a cool experience.....if it was actually ready to be played. Also the co-op network menu is useless to still have on the UI if you cant actually use it. Theres probably 1000 more issues, but I have no way of finding them since the game bugs out before it even really starts.

One way worked for me is run in 800x600 and have it in 16 bit mode and 2d menu just till you get past that past the padlock door with via password and save the game and relaunch game and change the settings to how you see fit

write-gl in the launch options of the game, and it happened to me with that sort it

well you guys are so bugged, i downloaded the game, wrote -gl on launch settings, game works fine in 1600x900 fullscreen. At the camera room you need to clic on the X to take screenshots it will lead you out of the department and then you can play normally with a knife and see everything outside.

I got this message even WHEN putting in -gl at the start, "Com_loadfile: not enough space for models/player.mdl"

setting it to the lowest resolution helped me but then it glitched accessing the computer for username and password. I had to restart, and know the username and password before i accessed the computer again because it wouldn't let me exit out of that screen.

That glitch is typically caused because you don't have half-life which this game needs to run...I downloaded half-life and was able to get past that door, however 20 minutes later I found another door that I couldn't get through -_-

But I do have Half-life.
