exit notebook glitch

Hi. Installed the game a couple of times over the last few years, and both times I was stymied at the very beginning by a glitch wherein I could not close the "notebook". If I ignored it and played on, the same problem arose when I pick up the first scrap of paper on the street. There's a red 'X' on the top left to close the item, but it doesn't register my clicks. Changing the resolution didn't help. I've seen other posts asking about the same bug, but no answers. I also tried installing the x64 patch that's up on the company's moddb page but did nothing.

I just looked it up on google and this guy has a youtube screencast which seems to have helped people. I'm including the link, but basically it boils down to:

go to windows/system32 find opengl32.dll
copy it and paste/overwrite the opengl32.dll file in your steamapps/common/cryofyear folder

Ok so now I have 2 problems....I don't have a folder with all those files and the notebook won't close.

FOUND A FIX!!!
When you go in the game click options go in video settings and set the screen resolution to the highest value click apply and you will than see and x at the top click it
