Does this game autosave?
I'm assuming this game has checkpoints seeing as there's no obvious save option in the menu but I just wanted to make sure the game wasn't bugged as I'm about 15 mins into the game and there's still nothing saved.

yes and no, you can save in some occasions and I think it saves after you finish a chapter.

The game doesn't have autosaves AFAIK. You save in tape recorders you come across. And that's the only way to save.

The game is pretty much like a 90s survival horror game like Resident Evil, where, doesn't matter if your last save was 2 hours ago, if you die, you go all the way back to your last save. Difference is, in CoF, you have unlimited saves (except in Nightmare difficulty, where you have 5, i think), so you probably won't lose too much progress even without checkpoints or autosaves, since you can save as much as you want, so don't worry about that.

no there are no checkpoints
just manual saves
