A virus file named mp3.exe

Nearly an hour ago my antivirus program (KIS) suddenly detected trojan virus "VHO:Trojan.Win32.Sdum.gen" in directory: steamapps\common\Cry of Fear\cryoffear\mp3.exe.
I've searched info in the internet and found out that this case can be false positive for Kaspersky database.
Anyway be careful, fellow gamers.

Devs, check this problem please and solve it if there's really some malware. Thanks.

Viruses often hide themselves inside normal files. I don't have questions about mp3.exe itself. I have questions about VHO:Trojan.Win32.Sdum.gen. But as I said before there can be just a false positive case. So I hope the devs or Valve support check this out

Can't say surely. But I think it's not. Usually I pay attention when old singleplayer games have fresh updates, but I don't remember CoF updating for the last period of time. And it definitely hasn't been updated yesterday.

Kaspersky updated almost right that happened for me, check for your updates. I think it's a false positive

False positive! I found some info on the internet about this thing and apparently it happened about a year or more ago, then they reported it to kaspersky as false positive and issue was resolved. But now ONLY after the antivirus updated, the libraries most likely updated too and they just removed some steam games (including cry of fear) from the excluded list.

is it really nothing? my kaspersky says the name is "HEUR:Trojan.Win32.Sdum.gen" and it runs an app "CompatTelRunner.exe" from System32, it also says the danger level is high. If it's a false positive, then it sure scared the ♥♥♥♥ out of me
